Birthday Yarn!

Some things are too beautiful not to share.  My birthday is coming up (the 19th to be exact) and let’s face it, at this time in my life, rarely a birthday passes by without new yarn finding its way into my stash.  I made it super simple for my husband this year and shopped for myself…early.  Now I’ve always wanted to try GnomeAcres yarns, and an upcoming birthday seemed like the perfect reason. I am so glad I did!  It is so much more gorgeous in person than I could have imagined.  You should definitely stop by her shop. The dyer, Amanda, also had a podcast that is super entertaining to watch.

L to R: Mint Chocolate Chip on Scruffy Gnome Sock, Bertie Bott’s on Sparkle Gnome Sock, Pumpkin Spice Latte on Scruffy Gnome Sock, and I Dream of Zombie on Bungalow Gnome (BFL sock).

SOCKS!

I have my eye on a skein of the Gnomesome Dove colorway…so beautiful.

Mark 2013 as the year I fell hard for Gnomeacres. ;)

As for knitting this week, I’ve pretty much only worked on these socks for my dad.  The end is in sight!  During my workweek, socks seem to be my best bet for getting worked on.  I like saving my more complicated stuff for the weekend.

Well, it’s time to officially kick off the weekend. With a beer in my hand and socks on my lap, I am set to go!

Those are gorgeous! I’ve never heard of GnomeAcres before, but now that I’ve thoroughly perused their site, I am coveting all sorts of colourways!

Happy early birthday!

I fell really hard for those ones… Thank you so much for sharing, I did not know the brand/shop and just ordered 4 skeins of sock yarn, one in each quality! Can’t wait for them to show up in the mail (might take a bit of time though, I live in France). You awakened my inner wild-sock-knitter, so huge thanks to you! :)
