Cherry Blossom

I can’t believe I finished something.  I feel like my knitting is going snail pace lately.  But I’m in love with my newest FO!

Pattern: Everett Cowl by Melissa LaBarre – I’m calling mine Cherry Blossom, as it the color/pattern reminds me of!
Yarn: Madelinetosh Vintage, 2 skeins in the “Afternoon” colorway
Needles: US 7 / 4.5mm

Major cowl love!!  This was a fun knit. The rows are a bit long, but if you just stick with it, it goes faster than you think.

Here I go again… being that girl who wears pink.  What’s happened to me? ;)

I don’t need to sing the praises of the Madtosh Vintage.  If you haven’t used Madelinetosh yet, hop to it.  Then you’ll get the hype.  The color is soft enough, I’m going to consider this a neutral part of my wardrobe, it should go with everything.

This is a LOOOONG cowl… definitely needs to be double-looped around your neck.  But here’s a photo so you can see the pretty stitch pattern a bit better.

I loved Melissa’s pattern.  If I’m not careful a lot of others could find their way into my queue.  I am planning on knitting an Eline Cowl (eventually) using this pretty Rambouillet yarn in my stash.

Enjoy your weekend!  Today begins a straight four days off of work for me! :)  Yay for long weekends!

This cowl is beautiful in that yarn color! I should plan on knitting a cowl too. Melissa Labarre is a great designer, I agree.

Ah I love this cowl! And that color looks perfect on you. I wasn’t sold on Tosh Vintage when I first knit with it (I thought it was too bouncy) but now I love it. The dye takes to the yarn beautifully and it’s great for accessories & garments.

Being a big fan of pink, love seeing you wearing it. Such a pretty knit Bethany. Great detail in that pattern.
