Oh, Saturday, I love you so. Nothing like a slow Saturday to get caught up on knitting and blogging. Somehow, my WIPs have grown from eight to ten. And here I thought with less time to knit I would be bringing my WIP numbers down! Haha.
I have knit a good deal of socks two-at-a-time, toe up. But in the back of my mind it still annoyed me that when I tried to do two-at-a-time, cuff down a while ago I failed. I simply could not wrap my head around the concept at that time. Well, not one to be outsmarted, I opened my book and started again.
It clicked immediately! Hooray. So not as wacky or intimidating as I thought. These are going to be another pair of Hermione’s Everyday Socks. I’m using Three Irish Girls Adorn Sock here in the “Kate” colorway.
I’m also currently working on (very sporadically) another Ashton Shawlette. I’ve made two of these in the past, but this one is going to stay with me. It’s hard to photograph this one in progress on the short needle I’m using (will have to transfer it onto something bigger later) but I’ll share a photo anyway… the sparkles are pretty – this is Dream In Color Starry.
I also cast on my Germinate yesterday, and wow, this is so fun to knit on! I already have my Halloween outfit planned with this shawl. :)
I have a lot of fun things to share coming up in the next week… one is a giveaway – my first ever giveaway! It’s an e-book from a very talented designer. You’re going to want it. So stay tuned for that this coming week – I’m so excited!
I also have a new design coming out soon. I’ve finished the knitting/pattern drafting, now there’s just working it into a pdf. Here’s a hint… it’s something that goes on your feet. So obvious! I can’t wait to share this pattern with you all.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I’m looking forward to some Green Bay football tomorrow!
